The ValorNature project aims to create a Center of Excellence in Advanced Sustainable Materials for the Use of Natural Resources in the Euro-Region.

This center aims to promote the creation of new R&D+i dynamics that guarantee the valorisation of available resources in new sustainable materials with potential for application in the regions industry (sectors such as the automotive, furniture, and architecture, shipbuilding, and aeronautics).

The project aims to increase the level of R&D cooperation between the different actors in the region, through the creation of an Innovation Ecosystem, which involves carrying out joint R&D activities and promoting technology transfer processes, in order to increase the regions scientific production capacity.

With the achievement of the foreseen objectives, the aim is to obtain as a result the creation and consolidation of the Euro-regions research and innovation capacity and, thus, create knowledge of excellence in the field of sustainable advanced materials, with the potential for valorisation and application in sectors strategic.

The project is promoted by the Innovation Pole in Polymer Engineering – PIEP, by the Technological Center of Automoción de Galicia – CTAG and by XERA – Agencia Gallega de la Industria Florestal, it aims to be a common Innovation HUB capable of promoting research and innovation of excellence, which responds to the needs of the business sector throughout the Euro-Region of Northern Portugal and Galicia.
